Weed the People

Documentary Weed the People, from renowned filmmaker Abby Epstein and interview icon Ricki Lake, focuses on pediatric cancer patients who have used medical cannabis, as well as parents who have done everything in their power to search for health for their children. It also illustrates a frustrating picture of patients and their families who have been denied certified treatment in a society that often favors pharmaceutical medicines. We heard testimonies from doctors and health professionals such as Dr. Mara Gordon, as well as Dr. Raphael Mechoulam, an Israeli scientist known around the world for first isolating the THC molecule.
